«Eclipse» ha format part de la 14a edició del festival internacional de fotografia i arts visuals LagosPhoto Festival, que ha tingut lloc a Nigèria. La sèrie, conformada per un conjunt de postals enviades per turistes des del continent africà a Occident, ara intervingudes, s’ha exposat dins la mostra col·lectiva de la plataforma Cómo Ser Fotógrafa ‘Listening to the deepness’, juntament amb tres obres de les artistes Paula Anta, Gloria Oyarzabal i Marta Soul.

«Eclipse» ha formado parte de la 14ª edición del festival internacional de fotografía y artes visuales LagosPhoto Festival, que ha tenido lugar en Nigeria. La serie, conformada por un conjunto de postales enviadas por turistas desde el continente africano a Occidente, ahora intervenidas, se ha expuesto en la muestra colectiva de la plataforma Cómo Ser Fotógrafa ‘Listening to the deepness’, junto con tres obras de las artistas Paula Anta, Gloria Oyarzabal y Marta Soul.

«Eclipse» has been part of the 14th edition of the international festival of photography and visual arts LagosPhoto Festival, which has taken place in Nigeria. The series, made up of a set of postcards sent by tourists from the African continent to the West, now intervened, has been exhibited in the group show of the platform Cómo Ser Fotógrafa ‘Listening to the deepness’, together with three works by the artists Paula Anta, Gloria Oyarzabal and Marta Soul.

He estat seleccionada com a artista resident en l’àmbit de la imatge a Roca Umbert Fàbrica de les Arts per desenvolupar «la sucursal». El projecte és una revisió crítica del meu projecte «La Sucursal del Cielo», realitzat a Caracas, Veneçuela, entre 2007 i 2009. Prenent ara com a arxiu el treball d’aleshores, «la sucursal»  reflexiona sobre la representació hegemònica de la violència a Amèrica Llatina i sobre la mirada del fotoperiodista.

He sido seleccionada como artista residente en el ámbito de la imagen en Roca Umbert Fábrica de las Artes para desarrollar «la sucursal». El proyecto es una revisión crítica del proyecto «La Sucursal del Cielo», realizado en Caracas, Venezuela, entre 2007 y 2009. Tomando ahora como archivo el trabajo de entonces, «la sucursal» reflexiona sobre la representación hegemónica de la violencia en América Latina y sobre la mirada del fotoperiodista.

I have been selected as artist in residence in the field of image at Roca Umbert Arts Factory to develop «la sucursal». The project is a critical revision of a photographic work made by myself in Caracas, Venezuela, between 2007 and 2009. Taking the work from that time as an archive, «la sucursal» reflects on the hegemonic representation of violence in Latin America and on the gaze of the photojournalist.

Durante el fin de semana de ARCOmadrid, estuve en Hybrid Art Fair de la mano de Cómo Ser Fotógrafa, donde estaban expuestas cuatro de mis obras. Además, junto con algunas compañeras llevamos a cabo ‘The Secret Room’, una serie de acciones fotográficas en las que compartimos nuestro proceso creativo con el público. En mi caso, realicé una serie de autorretratos frente al espejo junto a otras mujeres, dando continuidad al proyecto «Ser Otra».

Durant el cap de setmana d’ARCOmadrid, vaig estar a l’Hybrid Art Fair de la mà de Cómo Ser Fotógrafa, on estaven exposades quatre de les meves obres. A més, juntament amb algunes companyes vam portar a terme ‘The Secret Room’, una sèrie d’accions fotogràfiques en què vam compartir el nostre procés creatiu amb el públic. En el meu cas, vaig fer una sèrie d’autoretrats davant el mirall junt amb altres dones, donant continuitat al projecte «Ser Otra».

During the ARCOmadrid weekend, I was at the Hybrid Art Fair, with Cómo Ser Fotógrafa, where four of my photographs were exhibited. In parallel, together with some colleagues we carried out The Secret Room, a series of photographic actions which we shared our creative process with the public. In my case, I made a series of self-portraits in front of the mirror together with other women, following on from the project «Ser Otra» [Being Her].
